Easy, Tiger 1 features two designs I created to invite people to reflect upon the human obsession to dominate and subordinate nature.
In front, centered and four inches below the neck, we find a red sign slashed in half with the words "Easy, Tiger" written in white, as a foolish attemp of men trying to confine and tame that which is "Wild".
On the back, centered and four inches below the neck, we find a red circle that contains an imaginary tiger, the location, and name of Vitorious' headquarters. The tiger has been drawn with predominantly black fur, small yellow patterns, and a forked tongue to highlight that our impulse to diminish and/or eradicate all that is not "civilized" is reaching a point of no return, where only imagined beasts will remain to haunt the human psyche once our actions wipe them, and many of us, from the face of the Earth.
It comes with no surprise, to me at least, that our encounters with "others" (humans, non-humans, natural elements, and phenomena) are becoming more and more intense and desperate. We (wise men) have bitten the hand that feeds us. Perhaps, the sign in front isn't really for "them"... It's for "us".
