 WHAT? 

Be|wilder Brigade (BWB) is a phygital, philanthropic initiative that aims to cultivate the potential of web3 to harvest financial resources and positive action for wildlife conservation. The animals and messages I portray are aimed at increasing awareness of non-human suffering, intelligence, and culture, thereby urgently dismantling the dangerously obsolete perspective that non-human animals are expendable objects at the disposal of the ungovernable machine of human supremacy.

 HOW? 

NFTs and related physical items are carefully crafted in Belo Horizonte, Brazil by Vitorious without random assembly or generative technologies. All designs in this collection feature animals who use a wide range of anecdotes, allegories, common sayings, ancient wisdom, scientific evidence, and sprinkles of sarcasm to provide a fair share of criticism of sapiens' egocentric world view and manic behavior. NFTs will be listed for minting at two marketplaces with the following collector benefits:​

*Items granted to an NFT's first buyer. Shipping fees apply. Subsequent NFT buyers will be able to purchase the BWB tee, stickers, and prints in February 2025. Those who choose to forego the physical reward will earn exclusive NFT variants to mint the following month.

 WHEN? 

The pilot phase of this project will go live in January 2025 and will last approximately six months to test and optimize the flow of digital asset creation, transactions, and proper greenhouse gas offsets for estimated energy expenditures in the process. New NFTs will be released bi-weekly on via Rodeo (posts), WhatsApp groups (messages) and Discord (events).

 

 SO WHAT? 

At the end of June 2025, the total amount raised by NFT trades will be disclosed on this website and half of the proceeds will be donated to Extinction Rebellion (XR), an organization that aims to tackle the climate chaos through non-violent, direct action worldwide.
